I believe that the foundation for better dental health is based on mutual trust, respect, communication and understanding. I aim for every patient to feel understood and supported throughout their dental care. Every patient is different, with different needs and wants, and I will cater to those differences while providing comprehensive approach to dentistry, considering both the functional and aesthetic aspects of your smile.
I have been in the dental field for over 16 years. I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo, all while working as a dental assistant. Once I had enough of the cold, I traveled to the opposite end of the country to earn a Masters in Biomedical Sciences followed by my Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona. I am fully committed to being a lifelong learner, and am continuously staying up to date on the latest changes and advances in dental medicine through continuing education courses, conventions and seminars.
English, French, Gujarati and Hindi. I am currently learning Spanish.
I am a strong advocate for organized dentistry and enjoy being an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and San Diego County Dental Society. I also stay active with the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Women Dentists.
Dentistry is a beautiful blend of art and science. My love for dentistry arose from a passion for art, specifically sculpture and painting, which I enjoy in my spare time. I like experimenting in the kitchen with different vegetarian cuisines and have recently taken a fondness to home improvement projects. I believe in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and working out has also become a hobby of mine. I also enjoy traveling to different countries, learning new languages and meeting people from all around the world.
My goal in life is to use my passion for dentistry to make a difference in the lives of others, both in the practice and in the community. I volunteer with the California Dental Association for CDA Cares annually as well as Give Kids a Smile Day. I most recently went on a service trip to Guatemala to provide dental care to those with limited access to care.
