I have always had a passion for science and strong curiosity for the complexity of the brain which is why my degree was in Neuroscience from the University of Delaware. I started to gain great interest in dental medicine because of my innate artistic ability and ongoing medical interests. Soon after my bachelors, I attained my doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. I have been practicing dentistry for over 3 years in the field of general practice.
I believe practicing dentistry is an incredibly intimate and rewarding profession with your patients. I have such a profound interest in dental medicine that my practice style is always comprehensive and ever increasing in understanding. I love general practice because I enjoy being the architect and lead decision maker in providing the appropriate care for my patients.
I am Invisalign certified. I also attend endodontic seminars across the country for further research of standards of care and to keep up with technology to provide the best possible care to my patients. I am also well-versed at using iTero element for crown impression and implant crown impressions. I have taken CE on wisdom tooth removal for partial soft tissue impacted cases. My future studies involve periodontal soft tissue control and grafting techniques. Also, the goal is for future intensive CE on single and multiple implant placement for single missing tooth cases and implanted supported hybrid prosthesis cases.
I grew up in Princeton NJ, not far from the city. I grew up playing golf, which I currently still play weekly. I play basketball with friends in the winter. I am a big Philadelphia sports fan and local university graduate of UPenn. I play guitar and love spending most of my time with my family, which includes my fiancé Steph and our cat Harmoni. We both love to explore the city by walks and eating at all the wonderful places Philadelphia has to offer.
I worked as a dentist at KidsSmiles (Nonprofit) in West and Southwest Philadelphia
Dr. Spizuoco received her DDS from NYU, where she also completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD). She continues to volunteer as a clinical instructor at Columbia College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Spizuoco believes that dentistry should be minimally invasive and available to all. She fell in love with dentistry because it is a unique combination of art and science that calls for creativity and technical dexterity. Equally unique are the patients who require practical and personal solutions for their dental needs. Having the ability to bridge this divide by providing esthetic dental solutions is her passion and purpose in life.
Dr. Spizuoco is one of fourteen women dentist leaders recently invited to the inaugural class of Glidewell Guiding Leaders. Dr. Spizuoco is a member of the American Dental Association, Fellow of the American College of Dentists, Treasurer of New York Academy of Dentistry, member of American Association of Women Dentists and a member of Women to Women Dental Network. She is a local and national speaker.
Dr. Spizuoco performs charitable work including organizing bi-annual dental missions with World of Smiles to Dominican Republic. She also volunteers at local missions such as Give Kids A Smile Day.
