Shernel Thomas

Dr. Shernel Thomas is passionate about educating her patients so they can feel empowered to make choices about their dental health and come up with the most effective plan for each patient. Her approach to dentistry centers on providing a comfortable and compassionate environment while focusing on whole-patient care by tailoring treatments to each person’s unique needs. Originally from Maryland, Dr. Thomas has lived in several states including New York and Michigan where she received her Bachelors of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Michigan. Dr. Thomas is passionate about helping the community including winning the Delta Dental Community Commitment Award for her work with rural communities in Michigan. Dr. Thomas is dedicated to educating dentists and communities about the Opioid crisis and has had presentations and publications at the International Association of Dental Research, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Decisions in Dentistry, and winning the Crest Research Award. Dr. Thomas is a part of many professional organizations including American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Throughout the year she prioritizes giving back to the community through volunteering at free dental events and other volunteer activities. Outside of the office, Dr. Thomas enjoys traveling, the cinema, theater, concerts, dancing and visiting restaurants. Dr. Thomas is excited to be a part of the team at Onsite Family Dental and can’t wait to meet you and take care of your dental needs.

Julie Erickson-Green

Julie has been in dentistry for nearly 30 years as a dental hygienist. Her goal as a hygienist is to provide patients with the most quality care delivered gently and thoroughly. In her personal time, she loves to explore and travel with her husband.

Sarah Sorenson

Hygienist

With seven years of experience in the dental field, Sarah is passionate about providing compassionate care to patients of all ages. While she have a special interest in working with geriatric and special needs populations, her goal is to help every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile they love. Outside the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her cat -Jerry and new dog- Ranger. She also loves reading novels, diamond dotting, and playing board games. Her favorite color is yellow—a reflection of my positive outlook and cheerful personality! She is excited to become part of the Hormel community and look forward to getting to know our patients while providing exceptional care close to home.
